Abstract
Researchers and donors of human biologic material should know about the harm that could occur because of it¡¯s genetic information. There are three types of the harm : infringement of privacy, social or economic harm, the harm that is related to the knowledge of one¡¯s own genetic information. In order to make good decision with regard to donation of our genetic information, we should also know the probability of the harm. The harm may not rarely happen because the motivation of using other genetic information can be strong. Therefore, we should be careful in deciding donation of our genetic information. In addition, Bioethics and Safety Act should be reformed to make researchers explain the harm to donors.
